Research and Publications

This page is dedicated to research, studies, reports, and policy papers that Fiker Think Tank Institute makes available for publication. It covers the Institute’s areas of work in social research, public opinion polling, programme and project evaluation, and strategic and futures studies.

These publications address questions concerning institutions, communities, programmes, and policies. They present findings, examine their implications, and discuss the limitations relevant to their interpretation. They are intended for researchers, practitioners, government and non-governmental institutions, funding organisations, and readers interested in the subjects addressed by each publication.

Detailed entries for this section will be added after approval by the institute.

Research and Studies

Studies examining social, development, and institutional issues and the factors associated with them within their local and sectoral contexts. This area also includes strategic and futures studies that explore change, emerging trends, and possible scenarios, with attention to their underlying assumptions.

Public Opinion Reports

Reports examining public attitudes, perceptions, and priorities on the issues under study. Information about the target population, sampling approach, fieldwork dates, and question wording helps readers interpret the findings and assess the conclusions that can reasonably be drawn from them.

Policy Papers

Analytical papers addressing specific questions in public policy or institutional practice. They examine the problem and its context, consider available options and their potential implications, and develop recommendations that reflect the available information and practical conditions for implementation.

Evaluation Reports

Reports examining the design, implementation, and results of programmes and projects within the scope and questions of each evaluation. They consider progress towards objectives, factors affecting implementation, and lessons relevant to future interventions. This section is limited to reports or summaries authorised for publication.

Publication Information

Each publication is accompanied by a summary outlining its subject, purpose, and scope, together with authorship details, publication date, and available language versions. Its individual page provides access to the full text or executive summary, depending on the materials available for public release.

Findings and recommendations should be considered in relation to the study’s geographical and temporal context, methodology, and data limitations. These factors are essential when assessing their relevance to other settings.
